What is an Auto-Responder? I keep getting told I have one on..and I don’t even know what it is.?

I am unable to post anything to my Groups because of this auto-responder that’s supposed to be set. I have checked my regular settings, and everything is fine. My vacation setting is off, so, I don’t know what else to check. Please, someone help me! I own 2 Groups, am a Moderator in 3 groups, and participate in a few others, and they are getting tired of having my posts show up numerous times because I show they are being rejected, but Yahoo sends them thru about 30 times in each group. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Account Disabled Due to Suspected Use of Auto-Responder?

I made the mistake of saving all my replies to posts from a particular group in my Drafts folder, then sent them to the group all at once when I finished writing all my replies.

I didn’t know Yahoo! flags accounts as possibly sending messages from an auto-responder if one sends more than “X” messages within a certain amount of time.

The last five or six messages I sent bounced and I received automated messages from Yahoo! stating

So, I went to that page and sent a message to Yahoo! explaining what happened. I received an automated reply from Yahoo telling me I had to contact **Verizon** to get the issue resolved:

I replied to the Yahoo!Groups message explaining this, and asked my message be referred to an escalation supervisor, but I keep getting the same “form message” back, telling me I must contact Verizon. I have now written over a dozen times, and every time I receive the SAME automated reply that has NOTHING to do with my issue.

I have both replied to the automated response they send me AND have also filled out the form for help multiple times (each time I fill out the form I am assigned a new case number).

How can I contact a REAL person at Yahoo who can reinstate my account AND membership in my Yahoo!Groups?

FCC Votes to Begin Crafting `Net Neutrality’ Rules

WASHINGTON (AP) – Federal regulators took an important step Thursday toward prohibiting broadband providers from favoring or discriminating against certain kinds of Internet traffic.

Despite the concerns of telecommunications companies and the agency’s two Republicans, the Federal Communications Commission voted to begin writing so-called “network neutrality” regulations. Proponents say the rules would prevent phone and cable companies from abusing their control over the market for broadband access.

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said regulations are needed to ensure that broadband subscribers can access all legal Web sites and services, including Internet calling applications and video sites that compete with the broadband companies’ core businesses.

“Internet users should always have the final say about their online service, whether it’s the software, applications or services they choose, or the networks and hardware they use to the connect to the Internet,” Genachowski said.

The FCC’s two other Democrats voted to support his plan. The agency’s two Republican commissioners voted merely to start the formal rule-making process, but said they are opposed to the substance of Genachowski’s proposal.

Republican Commissioner Robert McDowell said he remains unconvinced that broadband providers are engaging in widespread anticompetitive behavior that requires government intervention.

“I do not share the majority’s view that the Internet is showing breaks and cracks, nor do I believe that the government is the best tool to fix it,” he said.

Next up for the FCC is to actually craft the rules, with a vote on whether to adopt them expected to come by next summer.

That would culminate a five-year debate in Washington that has pitted Internet companies such as Google Inc. against some of the biggest phone and cable companies—including AT&T Inc., Verizon Communications Inc. and Comcast Corp.

The broadband providers insist they need flexibility, free from government intervention, to keep their networks running smoothly. They want to ensure that high-bandwidth applications such as YouTube videos don’t hog too much capacity and impede other traffic, like e-mail and online searches. They also say that net neutrality regulations would discourage them from expanding and upgrading their networks.

“We continue to hope that any rules adopted by the commission will not harm the investment and innovation that has made the Internet what it is today and that will make it even greater tomorrow,” Comcast Executive Vice President David L. Cohen said in a statement.

But companies such as Google, Amazon.com Inc., eBay Inc.’s Skype and Facebook Inc. argue that without such rules, the broadband companies will become online gatekeepers that can prioritize their own online services or those of their business partners—and potentially put others at a disadvantage.

Markham Erickson, executive director of the Open Internet Coalition, called Thursday’s vote “the first step toward … creating a framework that promotes innovation and consumer choice on the Internet.”

The Open Internet Coalition represents public interest groups and big Internet companies, including Google, Amazon and eBay.

Genachowski’s plan calls for the agency to formally adopt four broadband principles that have guided the FCC’s enforcement of communications laws on a case-by-case basis. Those principles state that network operators must allow subscribers to access all online content, applications, services and devices as long as they are legal.

The FCC relied on those guidelines last year when it ordered Comcast to stop blocking subscribers from using an online file-sharing service called BitTorrent, which is used to transfer big files such as online video. Comcast is challenging the FCC ruling in court.

Genachowski also wants the FCC to adopt two additional principles that would bar broadband providers from discriminating against particular content or applications and require them to disclose network management practices.

And he is seeking to apply all six rules across all types of broadband networks, including wireless systems, which have been largely unregulated.

“The time is now to move forward with consideration of fair and reasonable rules of the road,” Genachowski said Thursday. “It would be a serious failure of responsibility not to consider such rules, for that would be gambling with the most important technological innovation of our time.”

alrightt. so i have the iphone 3GS and ive had it since october of 2009. and i dont want it anymore. im on my parents plan so i cant switch carriers…

i dont want it anymore because i am on my second one in 10 months and am going to get my 3rd one soon i already called and they said i could get it replaced ( the new software makes it freeze and loose service alot ) same with my moms iphone 3GS….

i called AT&T and asked them if i could upgrade and they said only to an iphone 4 for 399.00 and no thankss!

so then i went to a AT&T store about losing service all the time and he told me that i could get any phone i want for an extra $75 and he walked me over to the phone area and showed an example.. he showed me some $10 phone and said i would have to pay $85 for it.

and then i called AT&T to check and the lady said that i could not upgrade to any phone and that she did see that the representative at the store did say that and she didnt know why he did.

I notice that people seem to denounce the possibility or deny the fact that Bill Gates uses the proceeds from selling his Windows operating system and other software to finance eugenics and death through Planned Parenthood. I heard a little about this mentioned in the alternative media, which is free to report on what it wants because the alternative media mostly functions independantly of government control through the FCC. People need to know that the FCC is government control of communication, which is a vital component of Communism because government controlling communication is specifically mentioned in the Communist Manifesto as established by Karl Marx.

It is amusing to see people’s reaction to facts. It is humoring to see these people go through the psychological process of deceiving themselves in some desperate attempt to use it as a safety mechanism, trying to protect themselves from knowledge that will actually help them. They have been conditioned to defend something that was instituted to destroy them. It reminds me of destructive cultures all through recorded history that the current population even in this country (America) is claiming to be smart enough to avoid becoming like. But yet it goes to prove how it is used on a population. Anyway, I mentioned of Bill Gates financing eugenics in Africa and apparently someone disbelieved but yet didn’t originally look into the information.

This person was reacting as if I was crazy and making false claims. They requested a burden of proof apparently to see if I really knew the facts. But I am not angry because this had motivated me to really look to discover what the claim was about and I was shocked at how easy it was to find the facts and in “official” places. I found the information on Bill Gates’ official foundation website as well as Planned Parenthood site. Not merely just on a “conspiracy theorist” website.
Enjoy looking at this information and deal with the guilt factor that EVERYTIME you purchase a Macro$oft product (because there is nothing “micro” about a company that has 95% market share), a portion of that money finances death around the world, through his “charities” of death.

Why are so many Americans fat? Why don’t they just eat vegetable soup like I did?

This is a major public health issue. It is costing our nation A LOT of money.

I used to be overweight and unhealthy, but then I lost my job, and money was tight.

I was too proud to go on food stamps, so instead, I radically cut costs by shopping around for the cheapest foods in the store. Those were things like dry bulk split peas, barley, various vegetables on sale, and the occasional cut of turkey thigh or something. Then I would buy cheap dried Mexican peppers for flavor.

I just took all my cheap vegetables and beans and grains and cooked them into a big pot of soup with the peppers. With soup, you can also eat things like chopped broccoli stems (and not just the sprout part), or carrot greens. They taste bad when raw, but in a soup, they add texture.

I did not add butter or oil or flour, and I used minimal salt. I did not use very many potatoes, since I don’t really like them. I’d use green peas instead.

Anyhow, after three months of eating a diet of this soup, I had lost 50lbs, and my bloodwork showed that my bad cholesterol and blood pressure levels had gone from “dangerously high” to “healthy range.” I was also no longer pre-diabetic!

Why don’t more Americans do this? You get to lose weight and get healthy AND SAVE MONEY at the same time! It’s a great deal.

And yet, at the supermarket, I always see people (with KIDS, too!) steering around carts full of utter crap. And it’s not even that cheap! A bag of generic greasy potato chips costs $3.00 on sale at Wal-Mart, but gives you very little actual nutrition or vitamins.

$3 can get you up to six POUNDS of lentils, and those are great for you.

Is it worth the cost to make my own soap?

I’ve been looking around for cold process soap recipes. I can get 8 lbs for $25 including ship depending on where I’ll be getting it from online. I heard that some hardware stores carry the crystals but from why I can tell they are also expensive, maybe moreso than buying bulk online.

Either way, depending on the oil and additives I’ve calculated that it’s going to cost between $1 and $3 per block of soap if I make it with 1/4th cup of lye and 2 cups heavy vegetable oils and 3/4th cups of water. Since I have not cut or made the block and the recipe doesn’t specify how many bars of soap it will make at how many oz, I can only guess that, if I sell each bar at $4, the net gain of making the soap will be between $8 to $13.

Thus, would it be worth it to make my own soap or would it be more economical for me to just go out and buy bar soap? I do not have a base to sell to exactly, but I’m looking to be more self sufficient, but, in this case, is it more economical for me to just buy soap over top of being self sufficient?

A oatmeal question for those who specialize in culinary arts?

Ok I got a ton of oatmeal. Orignal oatmeal. You know the bulk in bags kind?

Now my objective here is to keep calories down but yet make something kind of tasty. Now as a culinary arts student I know you taken nutrition. So here goes…

I need the carbohydrates to be low glycemic index(also called complex or slow carbs) but I can allow for some GI high(say such as sugar) for quick absorption but it needs to be mostly GI low and very low GI carbohydrate dense foods. That means fat needs to be close to zero. Maybe 1 or 2grams tops not counting the fats from oatmeal obviously. Healthy fats preferred(such as monounsaturated(like vegetable oil)). Calories from protein isn’t a problem as long as it’s lean protein source(again low fat is essential here).

Sorry I know that is a crazy request but I’m looking for ideas here. Other than oatmeal cereal every morning I’m not sure what else to cook lol and thought I would ask the experts.

my Peekapoo is VERY skinny, starting to scare me! I can see his bones and I don’t know why! I feed him 3 times a day, I have wormed him but no luck there, he’s just plain skinny! So I tried leaving his bowl full throughout the day, and he eats every bite, but gains no weight. I’ve tried vegetable oil, peanut butter, etc. He won’t eat raw eggs, like I read on another site. I am currently looking for a better brand of dog food, but until I can buy it, is there anything I can give him from home (the kitchen) that will bulk him up?
he weighs about 5 lbs, pee’s and poops regularly, etc.

We are a small business, and it’s important for us to look professional. We have our own domain name hosted on a yahoo business account, but when we set up out-of-office auto-responders our clients receive messages titled “Yahoo Auto Response” which is very unprofessional.

A girl at work brought me some peppermint essential oil – 100% pure botanical undiluted and it says it can be diluted in a vegetable oil base. I picked up some Spearmint Oil today though from the Bulk Barn that the employee said I could use for sure, just incase.

great recipe for crispy, sometimes called cracker crust, goes like this.

Ingredients
25# Batch
High-Gluten Flour 20#
Water 70 degrees F 8 #
Active Dry Yeast 1 oz.
Sugar 3 oz.
Salt 10 oz.
Vegetable Oil 6.5 oz.
Egg Whites 3.5 oz.

Add everything but flour, oil and eggs in mixing bowl. Let dry ingredients dissolve. Stir and add all other ingredients.
This is a very stiff dough. After mixing let relax for 3-4 hours, in bulk. Or refrigerate overnight.
A dough roller is needed for this dough and to avoid bubbling this dough must be perforated with a docker after rolling.
If this is the desired dough you’re looking for we did good! If you simply want to reduce your dough less puffy try reducing the amount of yeast your using in half and storing your dough at less than 36 degrees. Another tip is cooling your water tempera

Last Tip: Bake at lower temperature for longer time, this tends to dry out the crust and gives a crispier texture.
